Uploading Plan Images

Archvisio can use your architectural drawings as reference for generating renders. Upload floor plans, elevations, sections, or any technical drawing to give the AI a precise structural reference.

Supported Formats

  • JPG / PNG / WebP — Directly uploaded and processed
  • TIFF — Supported for high-resolution scans
  • PDF — Multi-page PDFs are automatically split into individual images; each page becomes a separate plan image you can select
Tip

For best results, use clean scans with good contrast. Hand-drawn sketches work too — the AI is good at interpreting rough drawings.

Uploading a Plan

  1. Open your project and click Add plan in the left panel
  2. Drag and drop your file or click to browse
  3. Once uploaded, the image is stored securely and a thumbnail is generated automatically
  4. Click the Describe button (✨) to have Claude AI analyse your drawing and generate a text description — this helps the AI understand what it's looking at

Using Multiple Plans

You can upload several drawings per project — different elevations, floor plan, section, etc. When generating a render, select which plans to include. Multi-reference models (Nano 2, GPT Image 2.5, Seedream 5 Pro) can use all of them simultaneously for more accurate results.

AI Plan Description

The Describe feature sends your plan to Claude Vision which generates a structured text summary: building type, number of floors, architectural style, key features. This description is automatically included in the render prompt, improving accuracy — especially for models that rely on text instructions.

Tip

You don't need to describe every plan. It's most useful for complex or unconventional drawings that the AI might otherwise misinterpret.
